Kirk Cameron Moves from California to Tennessee: ‘We Don’t Feel Safe Anymore’

Kirk Cameron has become one of the famous people leaving California. On Wednesday, the *Growing Pains* actor announced his intention to leave the Golden State.

He clarified that he made the decision to move after seeing California’s long-term trend toward growing polarization and divisiveness.

The father of six revealed that he moved to Tennessee because he was looking for a place that supported a “healthy freedom mindset” in addition to the fact that three of his adult children already lived there.
He clarified, saying in an interview with the Washington Examiner, “They want to be around people who think like they think who are all about God, family, and country, if everything hits the fan and there’s some serious economic problems and division going on.” It’s a truly pleasant location.

Cameron discovered that “a lot of California refugees” were now living in Tennessee, whether he liked it or not.

The sheer number of Californians present is startling. “And I tell them, ‘Don’t California our Tennessee,’ when I see them at the grocery store,” he said.

Numerous people departed California “for safety and security,” much like his sister Candace Cameron Bure. Although Tennessee has drawn a lot of former Californians, Cameron thinks that Tennessee’s “good wholesome values and, equally as important, good whiskey” make it a more desirable location to live.
