Upon meeting her new tiny sister, a 4-year-old Chihuahua named Bella, the 7-year-old German Shepherd immediately surrounds her with affection, treating her as her own beloved ‘baby’ and forming an adorable bond right from the start.

Bella and Tinkerbell, two dog siblings, couldn’t be more dissimilar in appearance. The 4-year-old Chihuahua sister of 7-year-old German shepherd Bella is dwarfed by her. Furthermore, Tinkerbell can simply go lost under her shadow.

The two canines may not look alike much, yet they are the same in spirit. And they have a complete obsession with one another.

The pups’ mother, Whitney Gayle Boswell, told The Dodo, “They share a brain cell.”

Bella was three years old at the time, so Boswell wasn’t really sure how the new baby would affect her family. The self-reliant girl had a reputation for being apart from other dogs.

But Bella fell head over heels in love the moment she smelled her new baby sister that first night.

According to Boswell, “she treated Tinkerbell like her baby.”

Bella stayed by Tinkerbell’s side as the little puppy grew. No matter where Tinkerbell went, Bella was sure to follow.

“She is very protective of Tinkerbell,” Boswell said. “She watches over her all the time. While she eats, drinks water or goes to the bathroom.”

Tinkerbell’s personality developed as she grew older, and it became apparent that, particularly in regards to other dogs, it was strikingly similar to Bella’s.

“When in close proximity to other dogs, they both bark and exhibit mild aggression,” according to Boswell. But they have never engaged in physical altercations or behaved violently toward one another.

Tinkerbell and Bella find solace in one other’s company rather than being afraid of one another. They are usually found linked at the hip, so much so.

According to Boswell, “Tinkerbell usually just jumps right on Bella’s back, and Bella never minds.”

Boswell never has to worry about Bella inadvertently stepping on her sister, even though Bella is considerably larger than Tinkerbell.

Despite the fact that Bella believes she is a tiny lap dog, Boswell stated, “Bella is extra gentle and careful with Tinkerbell because she knows Tinkerbell is much smaller than her.” “She’s an awesome big sister.”
