A few years after Barack Obama remarked that Drake is “capable of doing anything he desires,” the Canadian rapper was seen having a great time with his two daughters.
While partying at a popular Hollywood venue, Malia Obama and her younger sister Sasha were dressed in revealing outfits, with one showing off her midriff and the other in a daring top.

Life in the White House must have been challenging for Malia and Sasha Obama, who are just girls wanting to enjoy life.
Malia (born on Independence Day in 1998) and Sasha (June 10, 2001) – the daughters of former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama – were under constant scrutiny from 2009 to 2017 while residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW, one of the most recognized addresses globally.
“They are under observation. They had to learn to manage the unwanted attention while remaining polite. They needed to create their own lives in the limelight without being overwhelmed by it,” the former first lady shared on the Moments that Make Us podcast with Melinda French Gates.
She added, “Those girls had to be intelligent, self-assured, and independent right from the start, even while living in a home with butlers, maids, and florists. But I was raising them with the mindset that, ‘You won’t be living here, and with me, forever. So I need to prepare you for your life soon and allow you to take charge of it.’”
Malia
In 2014, as Malia prepared for her prom, her father found it challenging to accept that his eldest daughter was all grown up.
“I think it’s fair to say that the first time you see your daughter in heels is a little bit jarring,” he shared on Live with Kelly & Michael. “She’s lovely. She’s beautiful.”
After completing high school in 2016, Malia took a gap year before enrolling at Harvard University, where she graduated in 2021.
With a keen interest in the entertainment industry, Malia spent her year off working in various roles, including as a production assistant on Halle Berry’s CBS sci-fi drama series Extant, and as a writer for the Amazon series Swarm.
In 2024, Malia, using the name Malia Ann, made her debut at the Sundance Film Festival with Heart, a short film she both wrote and directed.
Sasha
Barack mentioned to People in 2008 that Sasha “is just full of energy and the comedian in the family.”
After graduating high school in 2019, Sasha began her first year at the University of Michigan, studying online during the Covid pandemic.
Now 23, she graduated from the University of Southern California in May 2023 with a degree in sociology.
The sisters currently reside together in a home in Los Angeles.
“It feels good to know that the two girls you raised find solace at a kitchen table with one another. It’s like the one thing you want for them,” Michelle Obama expressed.
All grown up
Malia and Sasha also “find comfort” in partying together.
The lovely ladies were photographed enjoying the night with Canadian rapper Drake at The Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles.
Both donned revealing outfits that were perfect for the occasion.
Sasha showcased her midriff in a black cropped corset, which she matched with relaxed, low-slung cargo pants and open-toed shoes.
She styled her braids in a high ponytail and sparkled with the jewelry on her ears, necklace, and rings.
Embracing her sister’s free-spirited style, Malia donned a sheer lace-up top, which she matched with high-waisted printed pants that accentuated her curves.
Malia let her long brown hair cascade over her shoulders and finished off her outfit with chunky lug sole boots.
As per reports, the girls celebrated at the Hollywood hotspot until 4 a.m. before hopping into a car with their friends.
The Obamas and rap royalty
Drake, who has a shared admiration with the Obamas, was in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com arena (previously known as Staples Center) for his “It’s All A Blur Big As The What?” tour.
The rapper from Toronto has previously shown interest in portraying Barack if a biopic is ever produced.
“I hope someone creates a movie about Obama’s life soon because I could take on that role,” the “God’s Plan” artist mentioned back in 2010.
In 2020, the former president expressed excitement about the idea.
“I will say this, Drake seems capable of achieving anything he sets his mind to,” Barack remarked when asked about the rapper’s desire to play him in a film. “I mean, he is a remarkably talented individual. So, if the opportunity arises and he’s prepared…”
He continued, “Drake has, more importantly, my family’s endorsement. I believe (my daughters) Malia and Sasha would be completely on board with it.”
