Candace Cameron Bure isn’t the only celebrity to have relocated from Los Angeles in recent years, and she likely won’t be the last.
The former Full House star recently shared her thoughts with Fox News Digital regarding her choice to move her family away from the City of Angels.
“We didn’t feel safe anymore,” she acknowledged. “And that was the biggest reason that we moved.”

The 48-year-old actress and mother of three adult children elaborated that not everyone in Los Angeles lives behind gated communities, and because they didn’t, they frequently felt their safety was at risk.
She reflected on how, in recent years, her family experienced problems with individuals taking photos, trespassing on their property, and even coming up to their door.
“It’s amazing what people feel they can do,” she remarked. “And wanting to be a part of your life in some way. Some of it is innocent, some of it wasn’t. But it’s quite unnerving when you’re just trying to be a person and live life, and you don’t know what’s around the corner.”

Recently, she used Instagram to answer a common question.
Yes, the Bure family has relocated from Los Angeles.
“‘Why?’ Mostly for security reasons,” she revealed in her Instagram Story. “Also, family dynamics have changed. The kids don’t live in Los Angeles anymore. Mama will go where they go! I travel a lot. The seasons of life.”
Although she didn’t disclose her new location to her fans, she informed Fox News Digital that she is still in California.
‘There have been all kinds of stories as to where we moved, and none of them are right,” Bure stated. “None of them. We didn’t move to Nashville. We didn’t move to Texas. We’re actually still in California. We just moved up north. We’re no longer in Los Angeles.”
