As anticipated, the 2024 Met Gala showcased numerous bizarre and stunning outfits, but actress Demi Moore arguably wore the most striking one.
The 61-year-old graced the Met Gala red carpet for the first time in five years, sporting a gown reportedly crafted from… wallpaper!
Her ensemble featured heart-shaped wings extending from her sides and a pink-and-white floral pattern, complemented by diamond jewelry from Cartier.
After captivating photographers and fans worldwide who tuned in to the event, Moore shared that the dress was “not heavy at all” and even made her “want to rumba.”
The sophisticated gown, designed by Harris Reed, is indeed made from wallpaper. Reed explained that the creation required an astonishing 11,000 hours of silk embroidery.

“It all started with this incredible Cartier necklace that Demi is wearing,” the designer mentioned at the event.
“It was inspired by the floral feeling it gave me. The whole piece is made out of vintage archival wallpaper. We repurposed it. It’s 11,000 hours of silk embroidery that we’ve repurposed into this idea of her blooming on the carpet. I wanted to be the vines to her thorns.”
