According to People, both Mick and Bianca engaged in extramarital affairs, with mutual awareness of each other’s actions. However, this ultimately led Bianca to file for divorce after Mick began dating model Jerry Hall, as reported by People.
Their divorce was finalized in 1978, and the couple reached a settlement that awarded Bianca $1.2 million, according to New York Magazine. She has seldom discussed her marriage to the Rolling Stones frontman, but a few years ago, she told The Guardian that the divorce felt like a failure.
“I was brought up Catholic, to believe that marriage is for life. And we failed,”she shared with The Guardian.
Not long after her marriage to Mick Jagger ended, Bianca shed her image as a party princess. In the 1990s, she began advocating for vulnerable populations worldwide through Amnesty International. Her dedication earned her the “alternative Nobel Prize,” the Right Livelihood Award, in 2004. According to Aftonbladet, the jury stated that Bianca Jagger leveraged her celebrity status to assist those in need.
Mick Jagger is currently in a stable relationship with American choreographer Melanie Hamrick, 36. The couple has been together for ten years and shares a child.
