For the famed vocalist Jennifer Lopez, so far this year has been one to forget. Not only did she declare last month that she and Ben Affleck had filed for divorce, but their marriage also ended in 2024. She also canceled her planned tour of North America before it started.
However, some fans have now proclaimed her to be this year’s worst dressed attendee of the Toronto Film Festival, so the bad news doesn’t stop there. A-list celebrities were everywhere at last week’s awards presentation.
JLo was one of them; she is probably going through a tough period in her life right now. The 55-year-old planned to dazzle everyone in her way as she walked the red carpet for the event, dressing like a disco ball.
She was certainly stunning, but not everyone appeared to be taken over by her eye-catching attire.
The On the Floor singer’s metallic Tamara Ralph ensemble caught my attention, but not many people were remarking on it online. On the other hand, following the glistening performance that showcased both sides of her body and was tied with black velvet bows, many people believed that Lopez had been demoted to the position of “worst dressed.”
Co-writer of the movie Unstoppable with Ben Affleck, Lopez saw the premiere of the movie at the Toronto Film Festival. It was assumed that Affleck would not be attending the event given everything that has been going on lately between him and Lopez. He allegedly had other obligations at work.

Although Lopez has never shied away from the spotlight, even she looked noticeable in the disco ball dress. The internet was flooded with comments as soon as she walked the red carpet, and not all of them were kind.
“[Definitely] a worst dressed winner 🏅,” one rather cruel user wrote.
“It’s really ridiculous I feel like she had no class with that dress😮😮😮😮😮,” another penned.
A third added: “Desperate times call for tacky dresses.”
A fourth chimed: “She needs to take revenge out on her stylist.”
“This dress was seriously inappropriate for the type of film that […] was being premiered. This was not it,” another user wrote.
“I admire her fitness and drive but she’s a mom and I don’t think this is appropriate apparel to wear. Personally, I don’t like this outfit. It has no color. Plus, how can anyone walk and move wearing that [?]” opined one person on Facebook.
As previously stated, Lopez filed for divorce a few weeks ago, capping months of rumors that her and Affleck’s union had soured. When the famous couple tied the knot in an unexpected Las Vegas wedding back in 2022, it seemed like a storybook finale for their romance, but it had been clear for some time that something was wrong.
Throughout the year, both parties have been spotted outside of their wedding bands, and there have been rumors that Affleck has moved out of their Beverly Hills marital residence. In the meanwhile, Lopez called off her scheduled North American tour, stating that she needed to spend more time with her family.
