If you spot these mysterious black dots in your kitchen, you had better know what they mean

It’s never pleasant to notice odd occurrences in our homes that lack an obvious explanation.

For me, whenever I come across an unexpected mark on the wall or catch a faint whiff of an unusual odor, my mind immediately jumps to whether it will worsen over time and, inevitably, if it will end up costing me money to rectify.

I can certainly relate to an internet user who reportedly became worried upon discovering black dots mysteriously appearing in her kitchen.

It goes without saying that discovering peculiar marks or unexplained phenomena in the kitchen, of all places, can be quite alarming. After all, this is where food is prepared, and it’s typically the one area of the house where you want to maintain complete control over everything that occurs.

One homeowner found themselves perplexed by a recurring series of mysterious black dots they kept discovering.

In the Facebook group ‘WeLoveMrsHinch’, they sought assistance, asking, “Does anyone have any idea what these points might be? They first appeared on the kitchen tiles, then on top of the PC we keep in the kitchen this morning.”

Fortunately, other Facebook users were able to provide a conclusive response, although the answers probably weren’t what she had been hoping for.

“Look over it and you will probably find spider,” suggested one commenter on her post.

“It happens a lot this time of year, spiders pooing everywhere,” added another․

According to the Pest Guidance website, spiders “don’t leave solid droppings; instead, their droppings are thick and liquid” and resemble dark ink stains, often appearing on walls and surfaces.

“Their faeces look like splats or drips in the shades of black, brown, white or grey,” the website xplains..

“The colour or type of faeces depends on the species, but in most of the cases, you can expect dark splats or drips.

“These droppings are the combination of food and the other waste materials that are released from the spider’s body.”

Spider droppings were news to me! Were you aware of them? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
