Exclusive: Tori Spelling Opens Up About the Fear of Being ‘Homeless’ – How It Impacted Her and Her Kids

Tori Spelling has long been accustomed to media scrutiny. The actress and reality TV star has faced a challenging period recently, dealing with her divorce and other unfortunate events.

Tori Spelling has faced a challenging period recently. Last year, she and her husband, Dean McDermott, ended their marriage. The couple, who had been married since 2006, announced their split last year, with McDermott sharing the news on Instagram.

He shared, “It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own.”He went to say, “We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time. We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this.”

Although he quickly deleted the post, tensions between the couple reportedly lingered. After 17 years of marriage and 18 years together, they chose to separate and co-parent amicably.

Following the breakup, the actress had to leave their rental home due to a mold problem. She and her five children then lived in an RV.

After their time in the RV, the family moved into another rental but were forced to evacuate. Spelling and her children—Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn, and Beau—were evacuated from their rental by a SWAT team. Authorities were called to handle an armed gunman in the area, leading to a standoff near their home.

All this frequent moving has created significant instability in their lives. A source close to the family mentioned, ‘She’s trying to find her footing and is doing her best to care for her kids.’ This also includes dealing with a recent hospital stay and the ongoing separation, in addition to their housing issues.

“She’s not used to moving around for months and months on end. Being forced out of her rental was scary for her and her children,” the source added.

The source also discussed how the children have been impacted. They noted, “Her kids are at an age where they can kind of understand what’s going on,” and continued, “Their friends from school do too and ask them about their current situation.”
