He worked as an intern. He completed his internship in the pediatric department of the city hospital. He believed he was prepared to practice pediatrics because he did well in his studies. However, there are instances when our expectations and reality diverge.
The chief physician gave him a tour of the office, acquainted him with the patients, and underlined the importance of treating the orphaned children differently. He was having a lot of stuff to do, and it wasn’t simple. The sight of sick children brought him great emotional distress. One day, he went into a room and saw a girl with light hair and blue eyes laying there. She gave him a smile. The girl gazed at him with her large blue eyes without crying.
She was perhaps four or three years old. She extended her hand in greeting and grinned broadly at his greeting. She resembled a tiny angel. The nurse informed him that she was discovered on the street, extremely cold, and that nobody had come to claim her. She fled away from her aunt, who didn’t love her, even though they used to live together. Thankfully, she made a full recovery, and she would be placed in an orphanage upon her release. She simply wasn’t aware of it yet. The tiny girl won his affection, and they grew close.
She, on the other hand, became devoted to him and stood outside her room door every day, hoping to spend as much time as she could with him. She followed him around the department, making every effort to get his attention. She was adored by many and referred to as a “little angel.” The girl once gave the doctor a picture of her mother. She kissed the picture and held it firmly in her hands. She stated her mother was in heaven, regretfully.
“My mother is compassionate, unlike my aunt who is cruel, akin to a fairy tale witch.” There was an end to the internship. The tiny angel pleaded with him not to leave, saying, “Don’t go, don’t go, you’re my daddy.” It was difficult for them both to say goodbye. She sobbed. The girl was then brought to the orphanage. A year went by. He wed a decent, compassionate woman.
They were walking through the park one day when they heard a child’s cry, “Daddy, daddy!” The girl bolted in their direction. He knew who she was. His spouse gave him a startled look. It came out that the young child was being raised in a loving home after being adopted by a kind family.
