Like his soon-to-be bride Lily, Jake was looking forward to their special day. However, as their wedding day approached, a mix of anxiety and joy occupied their hearts. Even just thinking about each other’s life made them the happiest couple on the globe. When they shared this special day—the day they finally say “I do”—with their loved ones, the excitement only grew.
However, Jack was unaware of a clever scheme being executed behind his back by Megan, Lily’s best friend and bridesmaid. It appears that Meghan was infatuated with Jake and couldn’t stand it when he and Lily were happy. She tried to ruin their marriage by doing something she believed would bring misfortune upon them, driven mad by jealousy.

Megan intended to intentionally send Jake a photo of Lily in her wedding gown a week prior to the nuptials in an effort to sow the seeds of superstition and spoil their perfect day. In case they decide to proceed with the marriage, this image served as a warning of impending misfortune. Jake was astonished and uneasy by the unexpected sight. Since Meghan had been Lily’s best friend since they were young, he knew she wasn’t good, but he was unable to tell Lily anything about her.
Because he believed there would be serious repercussions if he disregarded the superstition Megan had instilled, Jake had to make the difficult decision to call off the wedding. Lily was stunned and perplexed as to why Jake had abruptly canceled their plans.
The once-inseparable Lily, Jake, and Megan started to drift apart as the months passed; their link broke down as a result of hurt and mistrust.
But over time, Jake and Lily became closer again. The pair decided to try their relationship again and focus on healing from the emotional wounds caused by the cancellation of their wedding. More than a year later, the two were much closer and more in love than before.
Freed from the bonds of superstition and deceitful influences, they opted for a more intimate wedding ceremony that was only witnessed by their family and a small number of close friends.
Since Meghan was no longer a part of their lives, she was not present during the wedding ceremony. Jake and Lily made the decision to surround themselves with people who actually wanted the best for them instead.
