The unfavorable features of his mother’s childhood
Justin Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, a forty-year-old Canadian screenwriter and film producer, oversaw his early musical endeavors.

When Pattie gave birth to Justin at the age of 17, she was still single, which caused her considerable distress.

Mallette claims, “My upbringing was dominated by sexual assault and violence. I was three years old when I experienced my first molestation. Among my offenders are a male babysitter, the grandfather of a friend, and neighborhood children who appear older than their actual age. As the years went by, I was sexually assaulted so often that it began to feel normal. When both partners are aware that something is wrong yet still consider the relationship to be normal and comfortable, it’s an odd union.

She started using acid, marijuana, and alcohol abusively when she was just fourteen years old. She also began shoplifting.

She ignited a fire in a school washroom, committing vandalism for which she was expelled.

She started dating Jeremy Bieber when she was fifteen, and the two of them stayed together for four years.

Since leaving her home at the age of sixteen, she has turned to peddling drugs and petty larceny as a means of support.

During this period, she struggled with sadness, loneliness, and suicidal thoughts. She tried suicide when she was seventeen and ended up in a mental health hospital. There, she underwent a Christian conversion.

As soon as Mallette was released from the hospital, she made an effort to contact former friends who did not share her newfound religious beliefs.
