Every parent’s worst nightmare is for something terrible to happen to their child. And it is really upsetting if your child is lost in any way!
Fortunately, this story ended happily even though it started off as every parent’s worst nightmare!
Fear struck in the Folsom neighborhood one ordinary Monday night. Two tiny girls went gone, along with their beloved golden dog. At around five o’clock that day, the girls had been last seen.
Prior to the situation changing, 4-year-old Cecilia Bourg and 7-year-old Abigail Bourg had been spotted near their home with their dog. Their parents quickly contacted the police after learning the daughters were gone.
The three girls and their dog were quickly sought after. Following their mother’s frightening Facebook post that rapidly went viral throughout the area, neighbors offered to go look for the little children.
The St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office issued a statement warning residents not to enter the forest as it could interfere with the official search for the young children.
Thankfully, the girls were found at 9:20 p.m. on the same day they disappeared.
Shortly after the kids were discovered safe and sound, the sheriff’s office posted a message on social media that read, “We are very pleased to announce both kids and their dog have been discovered and are okay. We do not have any information to give at this time.” “We appreciate everyone’s assistance, especially the utilization of the helicopters by Louisiana State Police and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.”
Once the girls recovered, people felt glad and thankful that they could return home safely. Naturally, the girls’ parents were the ones feeling the most relieved.
In addition to drones, ATVs, and their K9 units, the STPSO claimed that the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office had utilized a helicopter in the search for the children.
When the girls saw their relieved parents for the first time, photos were snapped. Their terrified parents’ features plainly show relief!
